Seafood Champion Awards Nomination Period Now Open

Nominations are now open for the 2012 Seafood Champion Awards, an annual event hosted by SeaWeb’s Seafood Choices program recognizing those making significant progress toward sustainability in the seafood industry.

First presented in 2006, the Seafood Champion Awards annually recognize individuals and companies for outstanding leadership in promoting environmentally responsible seafood. Seafood Choices established the award to honor those in the seafood industry whose past and/or present contributions demonstrate a commitment to innovation that leads to change.

SeaWeb talks sustainability at North America's largest Seafood Trade Show

In March 2012, SeaWeb's Seafood Choices team joined more than 19,000 seafood buyers and suppliers, and over 10,000 exhibitors from around the world at the 2012 International Boston Seafood Show.

The team was in Boston to announce the opening of the nominations for the 2012 Seafood Champs Awards in conjunction with a breakfast discussion hosted by SeaWeb on Asia's role in sustainable seafood.
